Discover the creative potential of printmaking on clay.
In this workshop led by experienced educator and ceramicist Siriporn of Falcon-Grey Ceramics, you’ll learn how to prepare your own clay slabs or tiles and transfer your designs using lithographic techniques.
Siriporn will guide you through every step, including tips for finishing your pieces so they’re ready for firing. Cost of the workshop includes firing. Items will be available for collection after the festival.
Come get creative, get a little messy, and explore a whole new way to make your mark on clay!
What to bring:
- All materials will be provided, including a selection of images.
- If you want to bring your own images you’ll need to have them laser printed in high contrast black and white with no grey areas. You’ll need to bring several copies.
About the artist
Siriporn is a ceramic artist with 25+ years of experience, a pottery educator, project manager and curator with over 5 years of experience. Her ceramic work is held in private collections and has been exhibited internationally and throughout New Zealand.
Currently she spends her time preparing for exhibitions and teaching pottery workshops for the Auckland Council and privately.
