In this hands-on workshop you’ll learn how to use inexpensive 3D Printing technology to create relief, letterpress and intaglio printing plates. See how to integrate 3D printing technology to support and enhance your current repertoire of printmaking tools
At the end of the workshop, you’ll have your own samples book to take away using a wide range of 3D printed plates exploring texture, images, halftones and exciting typefaces.
Learn about the innovative methods and practices developed through Hamish and Kim’s collaborative research, which aims to blend emerging technologies with traditional print practices. Whether you’re an experienced printmaker or a curious beginner, this workshop is designed to inspire and equip you with new skills.

About the artists:
Artist Hamish Oakley-Browne ( BAA, BA (Psych) is the Director of Te Kowhai Print Trust ,tutors intaglio and relief print techniques, utilising mixed print media processes in his work.
Kim Newall (BCT (Hons), MCT) has a thirty-year career as a creative practitioner, performance and installation artist and educator specialising in integrating emerging technologies with traditional tools and practices.
