Workshop Deborah Crowe

Deborah Crowe | Ideas in Action

Sunday, 4 May 2025 | 9:30am – 12:00pm | $90

Sunday, 4 May 2025 | 1:00pm – 4:00pm | $90

Do you want to stretch your practice? Or are you beginning a project and want to participate in a supportive ‘sounding board’ environment with other creative thinkers and artists? Or have you become ‘stuck’ in developing your work after your last project and would benefit from workshopping with an experienced artist facilitator and peers?

In this lively 3-hour session you will gain strategies to reinforce your existing repertoire of creative problem-solving and techniques to progress your ideas for current practice and projects. Ideas in Action explores processes for generating, developing, and articulating ideas in and about your practice.

Practical exercises will help you develop and analyse your ideas and to employ critical evaluation skills in the friendly, supportive, and engaging environment of Printopia. Particular emphasis will be placed on contextualising your making and utilising constructive critical reflection to accelerate your artwork.

Designed for print artists who have an established practice and want to push their conceptual and critical skills through supported group and individual discussion and doing.

There are only 12 places so book now!

What to bring:

  • Two to four recent artworks to share informally. Resolved works or work in progress are great, or a mix of both! If your work is difficult to transport, please bring two to four A4 or A3 hard copies of images of your work. These will be the starting points for our workshop.
  • A notebook and pen, or your usual note taking device.
